WHO WE ARE

Maintenance, Operations & Transportation (MOT) is committed to providing safe, clean, efficient, and well-maintained facilities that support student learning and district operations. Through responsible stewardship of district resources, proactive planning, operational excellence, and responsive customer service, we create environments where students can thrive, employees can succeed, and our community can take pride in its schools.

The Maintenance, Operations & Transportation Department provides leadership and support for facility maintenance, custodial services, grounds, transportation, safety, capital improvement projects, and operational logistics. Working collaboratively with schools and departments across the District, we maintain high-quality learning environments, ensure the safe transportation of students, and support the daily operations that make education possible.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to provide safe, reliable, and well-maintained facilities, transportation services, and operational support that enhance teaching, learning, and student well-being. Through exceptional service, responsible stewardship, continuous improvement, and collaborative partnerships, we are committed to creating learning environments that reflect pride, promote safety, and support the success of every student.

  • CUPCCA (informal bidding) - Completing this process will get you on the District's contractor list for small miscellaneous projects.

The California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Commission is under the umbrella of the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (CUPCCAA) and provides for alternative bidding procedures when an agency performs public project work by contract.

    • Public projects of $75,000 or less may be performed by negotiated contract or by purchase order per PCC22032(a).
    • Public projects of $220,000 or less may be let to contract by the informal bidding procedures per PCC22032(b).
    • Public projects of more than $220,000 shall be let to contract by formal bidding procedures per PCC22032(c).
    • If all bids received are in excess of two hundred twenty thousand dollars ($220,000), the governing body of the public agency may, by adoption of a resolution by a four-fifths vote, award the contract, at two hundred thirty five thousand dollars ($235,000) or less, to the lowest responsible bidder, if it determines the cost estimate of the public agency was reasonable per PCC22034.

Heber Elementary School District has contracted with Colbi Technologies to provide a web-based process for prequalification called Quality Bidders. To get started Click Here to Sign Up.
