Registration for 2024-2025
The ELO-P/ASES program is a grant based program offered at Heber School and Dogwood School sites and as such, has certain state legislated regulations regarding attendance. First priority shall go to students who are identified by the program as eligible for a free or reduced-price meal, or is a foster/ homeless youth as defined by the federal McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. Sec. 1143a), at the time that they apply for enrollment or at any time during the school year, and to students who are identified by the program as being in foster care. Secondary priority is given to students who attend daily for the duration of the program. Wait Listed students will be considered upon availability. Parents and students must commit to the program guidelines provided by Heber Elementary School District. Expanded Learning Opportunities Program
The Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P) is a grant-funded program that provides afterschool enrichment classes. The program operates from grade level dismissal to 6:00 PM Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Wednesdays, ELO-P runs from Minimum Day dismissal to 6:00 PM.
Parents picking up their children are reminded to be at school no later than 6:00 PM.
UPDATES
Our afterschool programs for school year 2024-2025 will begin the first day of school. It is imperative that parents fill out all required sections of the application. We must have contact information that is current and accurate.
STUDENT PICK-UP
Bus transportation will not be provided afterschool. Students must be picked up and signed out no later than 6:00 PM. Your cooperation is appreciated. On occasion, time seems to get away from us; however, it is very important that your child is picked up on time. ALL STUDENTS MUST BE SIGNED OUT BY 6:00 PM.
Students who are left with no person able to come to school for them after 6:25 PM will become the responsibility of the Imperial County Sheriff's Office. To avoid having the Sheriff come for your child, please make sure someone is here to sign your student out by 6:00 PM at the latest.
ASES
ASES is a grant-funded program that provides afterschool academic tutoring as well as enrichment classes. The program operates from grade level dismissal to 6:00 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. On Wednesdays or other Minimum Days, ASES is from dismissal to 6:00 PM.
Parents picking up their children are reminded to be at school no later than 6:00 PM.
SESSIONS
Session 1: Academics - Students are tutored on Math and ELA subject area, and they can complete homework assignments .
Session 2: Extracurricular - Students participate in non-academic Enrichment activities such as music, dance, sports, crafts, etc.
ENROLLMENT
ASES is open to students in all grade levels. Space is limited. Be sure to submit an application for each student.
DISMISSAL
Parents must sign students out daily and pick-up their child by 6:00 p.m., or sign a waiver for students to walk home. If parents are consistently late, student will be exited from the program.
